We have been engaged by World Vision Kenya to equip some of their boreholes with Solar systems, Solar pumps & Solar lighting.
One of the projects is OLMAKAU Borehole. Located at the Kenya/Tanzania border area in Meto Location, Meto Sub-Location, Matapato South Ward, Kajiado Central Sub-County, it is approximately 95km South-West of Kajiado County Headquarters and is accessible through a murram road off Namanga-Kajiado Highway at a junction 3km south of Ilbisil Markets.
The borehole is equipped with a Solar powered submersible pump and the Water is pumped 400m away to watering facilities at Meto Primary School.
The project has immensely improved the livelihood of the OLMAKAU Community, reducing the time and effort needed to get water. Pupils can now accord more time towards their education & other school activities such as cleaning classrooms, irrigation, and improving their hygiene
